Decided I needed to learn a bit more about cars after my friend's car died on the road. They opened the hood and we both stood there looking at the inside like "Um . . . what?" Figured it be good to do some reading up on cars, especially since I'm buying one soon. Book is really informative with in depth detail. Makes the interior of a car seem a little less scary and a lot more manageable.This is actually the second time that I bought this ... This is actually the second time that I bought this book because I lost my first copy. I've never been much of a fan of the "For Dummies" series, but this book is an exception. Although it will not make you a Master mechanic, it will supply you with enough information so that you at least can navigate yourself throughout the Auto World and make sure that you don't get screwed by other people. It covers a lot of things: how to give the car basic service needs, how the engine and drivetrain work, and even some tips on how to buy a car properly. Definitely worth the price and at least a one-time read.
